Please checkout the several organizations that I either help raise funds for or contribute my time to. I wanted them to have the recognition on my website in the event that anyone else is interested in helping me with these wonderful causes. These organizations are making a difference in the world and I fully support their growth!
The real point is that we all need help somewhere along life’s path whether we think we will or not. And, if you are the one giving and helping, just remember this: no matter what happens later, you will always be secure in the fact knowing that you have remained strong and true to assist those that need your help.
San Antonio Pets Alive! is a non-profit organization that helps feed and care for animals that have been placed on the euthanized list in local areas of San Antonio, Texas. Thus far, my husband and I have fostered twelve kittens, five cats and two dogs. We have personally rescued one cat, one kitten and one dog. If you know anyone who is interested in adopting or fostering in San Antonio or surrounding areas, please let me know and I can relay the information to the appropriate person. If you would like to fund San Antonio Pets Alive, you can safely complete a charitable donation here.
The Light The Night Walk is a fundraising campaign benefiting The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society (LLS) and their funding of research to find blood cancer cures. I have raised funds and walked for several years in support of finding a cure for blood cancers. I enjoy doing this because I feel that every little bit that I can contribute will make a difference to the families that need this organization. If you would like to fund The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society (LLS), you can safely complete a charitable donation here.
Junior Achievement was founded in 1919 and has become the world’s largest organization dedicated to educating students about workforce readiness, entrepreneurship and financial literacy through experiential, hands-on programs. I contribute my time and raise funds for this organization through Jefferson Bank. If you are interested in helping out, please contact me for ways that you can show your support by volunteering.
For more than 125 years, United Way has evolved to meet the needs of the times. Today, the world needs United Way more than ever. We all have a stake in what befalls our fellow man. We all benefit when a child succeeds in school, when someone finds a job that will help them provide for their family, or when more people are able to access quality, affordable health care. Every year through United Way, I have been able to donate my time and money to San Antonio Assistance Programs like San Antonio Children’s Shelter, San Antonio Food Bank, San Antonio Library Foundation, Transplants for Children, Rape and Crisis Center for Women, Wounded Warriors and many more! If you are interesting in volunteering to help an agency with United Way, you can sign up here.
The mission of St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital is to advance cures, and means of prevention, for pediatric catastrophic diseases through research and treatment. Consistent with the vision of our founder Danny Thomas, no child is denied treatment based on race, religion or a family’s ability to pay. If you would like to fund St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital, you can safely complete a charitable donation here.
